Summary
This project looks at women singersā representation in Grammy Musical Award over the years.
For the past decades of years, women singers have less chance and representation in Grammy.Fortunately, the situation is getting better recently with a noticeable growth in 2019. However, the gender discrimination still exists in a lot of musical awards.
To change this dilemma, to achieve a certain degree of gender equality in music awards and even the entire music industry, we need each of us to contribute our part.

This can also be proved by the average age comparison here: the average age of male winners of Album of the Year in Grammy from 1985 to 2014 is 48 while that of women winners is 28.

Why Grammys are so important to artists?

Grammy awards drive the sales of songs and are one of the best ways to advertise artistsā songs.
What happens to females artists is that they are overwhelmed in a vicious circle:
1.They do not have money to advertize their songs.
2.Their songs cannot be heard and noticed.
3.Less or even no popuarity makes it hard to gain Grammys.
4.No opportunities to reveal his song at the Grammys.
5.Grammys are always gained by famous artists: success attracts success, while failure induces failure.
